Meet the Staff of Rand's Auto Sales
Andy - General Manager
Andy, Rand's son, has officially worked at Rand's Auto Sales since 1995. Andy grew up in the car business, and started washing cars when he was 6 yrs old. He loves to work with his family. He holds a degree in business administration and finance from the University of Kentucky. Andy loves all things about cars. After he graduated from college, Andy helped Rand's Auto transition from a Wholesale dominant business plan to a Retail focus. Now Rand's Auto Sales is predominately retail selling over 2000 cars per year. He also helped Rand's Auto Sales be one of the first dealerships in Davis County to offer in house internet financing with Credit Union Direct Lending in 2005. Andy is dedicated to carry on the tradition of his father Rand by continuing to offer great cars at incredible prices with the best customer service. His hobbies include, Skiing, Boating Coaching Soccer, Fitness, and chasing his 4 awesome kids around.
Julie - Office Manager
From the moment you step on our lot until the time you drive away in your next car, your buying experience with Rand's Auto is touched in several ways by Julie. She is the glue behind our business. She orchestrates all of the paperwork, payments, and inventory. Julie has been with us since 2000, and she looks no older because of it.
Mike - Lot Manager
Mike has been with Rand's Auto Sales since 2013. He worked while he earned his Economics degree at the University of Utah. Mike knows everything about operations and sales. His background in economics helps him identify trends and he is a highly valuable asset to our business. In his spare time, Mike enjoys vacationing and yard work.
Rand - Owner
Rand Patterson is the founder of Rand's Auto Sales. Rand began Rand's Auto Sales with 3 cars and a dream in 1981. Rand is probably the best buyer in the United States. Including wholesale work in the early days, he has bought and sold over 100,000 cars. During his 40+ years in the car industry he has forged many relationships with Auctions and Financial Companies. It is because of these associations that he is still able to find some of the best low mileage lease returns in the country. For the last 15+ years Rand has transitioned from Wholesale to Retail and sells over 2000 quality cars per year. Rand loves to keep things "old school". That is why you won't find us with a fancy multi-million dollar show room, or hear any radio adds or commercials. He wants to keep overhead low, so that we can offer the best price for the best car. He believes in providing customers with absolute best deal and experience so that they will want to return many years later. That is why most of our customers are "repeat" or "referral" buyers. Rand considers his customers as family and treats them as such. He is still involved in the daily operations, and will often go out on the lot and talk to customers. Rand's hobbies include fishing, exploring, and playing with his grandchildren.
Ryan - Manager
Ryan, Rand's son, has been with Rand's Auto Sales since 2012. Prior to that he worked as a medical device engineer for 15 years. He holds multiple degrees from the University of Utah and the University of Michigan in mechanical and biomedical engineering. He still consults as a professional engineer on occasion. Ryan enjoys working on the systems of the business, both buying and selling. Ryan was trained by his dad when he was 18 to look at and buy cars from the Auctions. He has spent a lot of time traveling and buying cars all over the country. Ryan enjoys being around his family, and that is the main reason he works for the family business. His hobbies include composing music and hiking.
